Toy Trouble: A Christmas Contest Entry
This is my official entry for the Christmas contest. I have put my heart and soul into designing this game, and I am excited to share it with the community. Enjoy!
Objective
Work together as Santa and his Elves to load the sleigh with gifts before the Christmas Crook can steal them.
Game Setup
- The Sleigh: Secure the sleigh into the grooves on the board.
- The Gifts: Place the gift tokens on the spots marked with an O.
- The Heroes: Position Santa and the Elves in the area surrounding the sleigh.
- The Villain: Place the Crook at his starting position by the gift sack.
Gameplay Mechanics
- Turn Order: The player with the most Christmas shopping left to perform goes first. Play proceeds to the left.
- Player Phase: Roll the die and move your character.
- The Crook’s Phase: After all players have completed their turns, roll the Crook’s die. Move the Crook toward the closest available gift on the board.
- End of Game: Play continues until the game ends based on how many gifts are saved versus stolen.
Board Space Guide
- [R] Reindeer Spot: Fast-travel across the board. Move your piece to any other R spot.
- [D] Sleigh Drop: Land here to successfully drop your gift into the sleigh.
- [X] Drop Zone: If you are carrying a gift, you must drop it here. If you are not carrying a gift, no action is taken.
- [O] Gift Spot: Land on this spot to pick up a present.
Customization and Modes
I encourage players to experiment with modifications and different game modes, such as a competitive 1v1 version.
