Description
Geralt’s silver sword from The Witcher game series, designed for slaying monsters.
The silver sword consists of a total of 21 3D-printed parts.
Like the other swords from my production, this sword is assembled using an M5 threaded rod that runs through the entire length of the sword. Everything is fully concealed and not visible anywhere.
Thanks to the use of the threaded rod, the sword is very sturdy, suitable even for fencing, and will not break.
All parts of the sword are connected by an M5 threaded rod with a length of 1000mm, which runs through the center of all components. M5 lock nuts are installed at both ends of the threaded rod.
One M5 nut is located in the Blade_3 part, and the other in the Grip_4 part.
During assembly, first connect Blade 3 and Blade 4 using two Pin_D3.5 parts and press them together as firmly as possible. The parts do not need to be glued. Then start screwing in the threaded rod until its end is at a distance of 1149 mm from the tip of the sword. After that, slide the remaining parts onto the threaded rod according to the drawing.
The nut in the Blade_3 part is embedded during printing. To insert the nut, a pause is created in the print profile, allowing the nut to be placed into the 3D print. Blade_3 is printed on a separate build plate in order to minimize potential losses in case the nut insertion into the 3D print is unsuccessful.
I recommend gluing the Guard and Core_guard parts together, as this significantly increases the strength of the outer Guard component.
No other parts of the silver sword need to be glued.
Printed pins (Pin_D3,5 and D4) prevent the individual parts from rotating.
The pommel has its own separate print profile, as this part is printed with a layer height of 0.08 mm to preserve a high level of detail.
If you have a 0.2 mm nozzle available, I recommend using it for this part and changing the nozzle diameter to 0.2 mm in the print profile. The print will be even more detailed.

I also designed a scabbard for Geralt’s silver sword.
I recommend using a dark brown filament to simulate leather.
The scabbard is designed so that the 3D-printed parts are glued together. The joints of the four main parts, Scabbard_main_1 to 4, are then covered with decorative wraps, which are also glued onto the Scabbard_main parts.
Enjoy the print, and I hope you like Geralt the Witcher’s silver sword.
