Realistic Aquascaping Rock Stone Formation with Cave

Take your aquarium or terrarium hardscape to the next level with this custom-designed rock formation.

This model was designed specifically with aquascaping in mind. It features an accessible cave on the left side providing an essential hiding spot for shy fish, shrimp, or dwarf cichlids to reduce stress. The structure rises into tiered peaks with varied "shelves" and crevices.

Key Features:

  • 🐟 Natural Hiding Spot: A cave that offers shelter for your aquatic inhabitants.

  • 🌿 Plant Friendly: The tiered shelves and rough texture are perfect surfaces for attaching epiphytes like Anubias, Bucephalandra, or Java Fern, as well as various aquatic mosses.

  • 🦎 Versatile Use: Excellent for freshwater aquariums, but equally suited as a basking spot or hideout in terrariums and vivariums for reptiles or amphibians.

  • Detailed Texture: Natural look rock texture.

Print Settings:

  • Material: Use only Aquarium Safe materials! PLA is generally considered safe for freshwater, but PETG is often preferred for its durability and heat resistance.

  • Infill: 5-15% Grid or Gyroid infill.

  • Size: 12 cm tall 15 cm wide and 13 cm deep.

  • Perimeters/Walls: Suggest at least 2 or 3 walls for durability.

  • Supports: Supports are needed for the roof of the cave and some of the overhanging shelves. Tree supports usually work best and are easiest to remove from textured surfaces.

  • Layer Height: 0.12 mm to 0.16mm works well.
