Description

Hi. I created this Trim Wheel for Flight Sim, It works great so accurate and I think this is the best trim wheel I've ever used to be fair I didn't use that many, for the sensor I used the following sensor from amazon it's great and not that expensive, below is what you would need from Amazon unless you have it already:

1- 600P/R Rotary Encoder, AB 2 Phase Incremental Rotary Encoder 6mm Shaft 5V-24V Wide Voltage ( Link  )

2- Spring loaded screws 10pcs M6 x 12mm High Carbon Steel Metric Spring Hex Socket ( Link  )

3 - Arduino Micro Board *Really any Arduino board should work ( Link )

4 - M3 heat inserts available in makerworld links below

The reason we are using the spring loaded ball screws is because it will prevent the wheel from over turning or running free, please do not over tighten them it should only be touching the wheel or a very small notch more.

assembly is very simple:

1 - install the heat inserts at the end of the middle part in the 2 holes at the end of the legs

2 - install the spring loaded screws and then install the wheel and tighten until you touch the wheel.

3 - put the back plate and use the 3M screws to put everything together

I used ALIEN TAPE Double Sided Tape to stick the base to my winwing throttle please consider this before using this tape is very strong and should be removed slowly if you need to remove it in the future but it holds extremely will. ( Link )

4 - I used Mobiflight to program and use the board in the SIM and it's great and simple.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you find any of the instructions not clear:
