22DoF Mechanical Hand

The power of your hand in the palm of your hand!

 

This model is based on my previous finger 06 designs, and is a partial continuation of the series. This hand is a demonstration of what can be done with simple mechanisms. 22 of the 25 degrees of freedom are recreated. This model is not really meant for anything useful, and is mostly just a gimmick, or demonstration of mechanisms as I said before. There looks like there is a lot of pieces but really, its not a lot. All I can say from here is good luck and enjoy!

 

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

YOU WILL NEED RUBBER BANDS

-nothing here yet, but go ahead and print the model, because by the time it is finished, the instructions will be here. I promise.-

 

DISCLAIMER

This model is not an easy print. make sure your printer is tuned well. 

 

HOW TO USE

push down on the finger holds, and move them side to side. When you move your finger left, the corresponding finger will turn right, vice versa. (Not the most intuitive.I know.)
