Kids Cruise Boat ( Brick compatible)

Summary

Well.... let's use that big build platform!

Inspired by an other big blocks cruise boat kids wanted to have their own, but for the small blocks. I had noting useful to do so here is my creation. ;-)

It is a basic shape so it's up to the kids imagination and creativity to make it ready for the passengers and seaworthy. The rooms below deck can slide out to be easy accessible to make nice comfy rooms.

Added lifeboat for safety...
Added ships bow deck rail, just for the looks and to replay Titanic.

I designed it to be as much 3D printable my Fusion 360 skills let me and easy to assemble. But never the less there are quite some challenges left. For example the water slide!!

 

The colors are all yours. You can paint the parts or be creative with the spools you have.

To put al the parts together you need glue! Do not forget to put the below deck rooms in first before you glued the main deck on. Use the explode view as a guide. There are some guide rails to mark all the right positions of the individual components.

You can NOT scale this design. It will not longer be compatible with.

Best to use transparent filament for the glass wall.

Oh, one thing: Don't use a Skirt on the bigger parts. There is no room left on the build H2D plate!
Print the booms where the lifeboat hangs 2 x.  Glue them in to the axle. The axle itself is mounted with 2 M5x 10 bolds.    

How I Designed This

As a toy

            

The boat is somewhat out of proportions but it serves a purpose. It's with kids hands in mind. We are limited in print volume so to be able to give actual space for kids hands I designed as much open space as possible.  For a kid real proportions does not matter.

I put as much Brick space as possible. The limitation is that while printing you want the connecting dots on the top site. For example the roof top is printed upside down so you need almost no support. But it's also a sun roof for the guest there so space to play. A dilemma I found no solution for yet. 

It would be nice to you if you help me to finish this design by making additional things you're kids asked for.
