Description
These are a set of armor plating inspired by old samurai uniforms and is designed in kids sizes, but can of course be scaled up a bit if needed.
The look is relatively clean and combined with 2mm paracord (or similar) the majority of decoration comes from the paracord and the pattern used to connect the parts and mount these to the body or other costume elements.
The shoulder parts prints nicely without support, at least in PLA on the Coolplate Supertack, but for the arm and shin pieces, I have modeled in some support elements that only connects in a few small spots on the inside, which easily breaks off after printing. The small remaining pieces can be sanded off relatively easy.
There are 4 different plates defined in the print profile, mostly so that it's easy to only print part of this, but some could potentially be combined on a single plate and printed together.
All objects have a flat surface facing down, tough for the curved plates, it's only a relatively thin edge, If printing on a build plate with lesser adhesion, a brim might be needed for it to stay, but with the Coolplate Supertack I successfully printed the pieces on an A1 Mini, where the bed moves.
