Description
Sequential Reshell for Logitech G25/G27 shifters, I remixed from two other files to use as a dedicated sequential shifter and retain the button functionality. I shortened the top riser to obviate the need for an extension on the lever itself, as I prefer the short throw as is. To assemble you will need two springs and a M4x35mm screw and self locking nut, 12 M4x10mm screws, 6 M4x20mm screws as well as a dozen 4x6x6mm brass threaded inserts, plus a bit of glue - I recommend Weld-On #16.
Helpful notes from the original file on Thingiverse:
Disassembly:
To get started you want to unscrew the hold down clamps, by removing the Nut on the bottom of both clamps.Than you want to fully unscrew the clamps until you can take out the actual clamping part.
Be sure to keep all the Original Parts somewhere where you don't lose them just in case you want to sell your shifter later. Now you want to take of the cap on top of the shifter to reveal the screw that holds down the knob.
After you removed the shifter knob you want to remove the 6 hex head screws that hold down the Leather boot. Now you can start removing the Case by unscrewing the 8 Philips screws on the bottom of the shifter Case and the 3 in the deep holes under the shifter boot..
Be sure to remove the top part of the Case very slowly and carefully from the bottom one because there are wires connected on the back of the button panel.Unplug the connectors of the back of the button panel carefully before taking the two halves apart.
Take the top part of the shifter and remove the black Philips screw on the PCB of the button panel.
Then carefully remove the Button panel by pushing the little plastic clamps inwards. Now remove the Shifter mechanism. (Don't lose the ball, trust me you will be searching your floor for a while)
Assembly:
Get started by putting the shifter mechanism into the new case, again be careful not to loose the little ball bearing. Its a bit tricky, so you might want to take your time and get a beer.Press the metal plates inwards so that the holes line up.
Screw in using M4x10mm screws, you don't need to cut threads or anything, it will work just fine if you just screw the screws in the plastic.
Now take the little potentiometer clamp and glue it on the main case like shown in the pictures, be careful that the little green ball is inside of the clamp so that the potentiometer cant rotate on itself.
For this remix, you will need to use a soldering iron to set the brass inserts in the remaining holes for the bottom lid and the top plate. Insert one of the springs into the top plate then attach the riser, the top plate, the second spring, secured with a M4x20mm screw and self locking nut. Then secure the riser and top plate to the main body with 6 M4x20mm screws, and the bottom plate with 6 M4x10mm screws.
135mmx120mm bolt pattern for mounting the base.
