Description

----2026.1.11 Added split version for 5 parts, now all parts support A1:

  • As this set was not originally designed for splitting, most assembly requires glue. The segmentation positions have been placed to avoid stress-bearing areas as much as possible.
  • For 3_Pauldron_Split and 7_Cuisses_Split, additional connectors have been added compared to the default version to assist with fixation, though glue remains the primary method.
  • 6_Faulds_Split divides the front part into 3 pieces, which do not require glue and can be connected directly using a belt.

----2026.1.5 The New Frostmourne is released.

----2026.1.4 Quick fix of 2_Cuirass:

  • Add more supports to ensure stability at height.
  • Fixed an internal overhang in the front cuirass piece (Plate2 & Plate5) to ensure no air printing occurs during the print process. Thanks to RivionWorks's feedback, I didn't spot this issue.

----

2025, an amazing year. First time being featured, first competition champion, first time participating in a new printer launch, first successful crowdfunding campaign.
From holding that small Helm of Domination to becoming the Lich King today, this is the power of MakerWorld.

----

Special thanks to my Queen. Aside from the model itself and my handsome likeness, everything was crafted and photographed by her.

----

This is the armor worn by Arthas, the Lich King in World of Warcraft. The overall design is based on the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic, incorporating details from some official artwork.

  • The full armor set consists of 9 parts. 5 parts of the default version require H2, while the split version fully supports A1. Time and filament usage are shown in the table below (Based on PETG-HF):

  • The overall scale is designed for a height of 180cm, with some room for enlargement within the H2 print volume. Scaling ratio = (Your Height) ÷ 180
  • All parts use straps for fastening, with large openings, imposing no restrictions on body size.
  • The helmet is more imposing, detailed, sturdy, and larger than the old version. It accommodates a total outer ear width of 19cm.
  • The Lich King has a massive, broad-shouldered physique. To achieve this effect, the shoulders feature a double-layer design with built-in shoulder pads. Therefore, regardless of your natural shoulder build, wearing it will give you a mighty stature.
  • Since it's not a fully enclosed suit of armor, mobility is quite high when worn. See how agile I am:

About Print Profile:

  • All pieces have passed the non-glued plate test. However, it is recommended to glue the plate to increase stability, as the printing time is quite long.
  • All profiles are pre-supported and can be printed directly.
  • Default infill is 3%, which provides sufficient strength. You can increase it based on preference, but I suggest not to exceed 10% to avoid excessive weight.
  • Both PLA and PETG can be finished with no significant difference, but PETG is recommended for durability considerations.
  • Some parts (Vambrace, Greave) are single-sided in the profiles, just print them twice, mirroring is not necessary.

About Wearing:

  • Please refer to the attached wearing guide for details. In practice, there is more than one way to wear it, adjust according to your own needs.
  • Elastic straps or belts with a width under 2.5cm are required. Belts with buckles are recommended to enhance the overall look.
  • Once the pauldron and cuirass are connected, they do not need to be taken apart again. Putting on and taking off only requires unbuckling the straps on the front of the cuirass, and one person can basically manage the entire set alone.
  • The pauldron features holes for securing the cape.
  • To fully achieve the Lich King's look, fur arm sleeves, fur leg covers, and a cape need to be made or purchased separately, they are not included in the model.

About Color:

  • Armor: Any metallic silver is suitable. It is recommended to use black PETG with steel spray paint, as the finish from painting currently surpasses that of metallic filaments.
  • Gem: Only one on the helmet, Bambu PETG transparent light blue.
