🚀 The Dual-Prop Balloon Hovercraft Has Landed! 🎈✨
Say hello to the latest evolution of the Watson’s Lab balloon-powered hovercraft — now sporting two propellers for double the drama and (let’s be honest) at least 1.7× more coolness. 😄
🌬️ Updated internal design means easier printing, fewer awkward overhangs, and efficient filament use.
🔧 Fully 3D-printable with no extra parts needed.
This model is designed first and foremost for fun, smiles, and tinkering joy. It is balloon powered, not rocket-fuelled or brushless-motor driven. That means:
Think of it as a playful science toy, not a serious engineering vehicle — something to enjoy, experiment with, and laugh at when it spins in a slightly silly direction. Perfection is overrated anyway!
After lots of tinkering, muttering, redesigning, and celebrating small victories, I’m really happy to share this design. It’s the closest I’ve come to a working balloon-powered hovercraft, and seeing it glide (even a little!) brings me a ridiculous amount of joy. I hope it does the same for you.
If you’ve got ideas, feedback, or wild mods, I’d love to hear them — that’s half the fun of sharing these projects.
Happy printing, happy hovering, and remember:
🎈 it’s powered by a balloon — so enjoy the charm, not just the speed!
Boost MeEnjoying the design? A boost is a lovely way to cheer it on! It helps me keep making more fun, slightly bonkers balloon-powered projects. Thanks so much! 🚀🎈
