This is a great model to use up those spools of filament.  Make multi-colored battery holders for your family!!

VERSION 4

Updated models for AA, AAA batteries.  NEW models for CR123A, C and 9-volt batteries.  A print profile for each type of battery includes base and mirrored versions of the model.  A 2-color or a see-through version Name Plate.  If you use the see-through version, you can place a piece of paper behind or print out it in a different color than the base color.

NAME PLATES:

The name plates print face down because I am using 1 wall on First Layer setting.  The look is cleaner.  

Each Profile comes with a name plate, but if you want to create your own, here are the dimensions:

• 34.6mm tall
• 0.6mm thick
• 55.4mm wide (AA, C and AA-AAA dispenser)
• 54.4mm wide (9VOLT dispenser)
• 50.6mm wide (AAA dispenser)
• 38.7mm wide (CR123A dispenser)
• I put a 0.2mm chamfer around the edges and a 1mm fillet on the corners.

NO JAM FILL:

Ribbed channels prevent the batteries from falling down in a vertical orientation.  These ribs bounce the battery back and forth horizontally so that the final slide is smooth.

 

 

BASE CONNECTOR:

The Base Connectors are OPTIONAL.  You can print with coordinated color to match your name plate or with the same base color.  It will need to be super glued in.  You can also use the CUSTOMIZE button above to download a custom longer size if you want to put two dispensers' side-by-side.  The connector will hold them together.  If you put two dispensers' side-by-side, you will need to print one of the dispensers as “mirrored”.  I include mirrored versions in the profiles.  If you don't do this, you will not be able to slide out batteries from the right-side dispenser.

 

MIRRORED DISPENSERS:

If you want two V4 dispensers' side by side, you will need to print one of them mirrored (included in each profile).  That way you can slide the batteries out on opposite sides of the dispensers.  You can attach them with a longer connector.  (see Customize button above)

   

 

SIDE COVER:

Put dabs of Super Glue at all the corners and the inside channel walls.  Be sure to slide in your name plate before you do!!
