Description

Summary

This is a Revo Nozzle holder that can mount to pretty much any extrusion using 2 x 5mm bolts and T-nuts. There are three holes on each side that allow for height adjustment if needed.

The main thing that sets this holder apart from the rest is that you can adjust the ID tags for each nozzle using the included tiles! Right now, E3D only has 4 nozzles available, but will soon have hardened nozzles in varying sizes as well. I wanted to develop a holder that I could easily switch out the identifying markings to fit the nozzles I wanted to store. While it may not be as pretty as the others, I find the functionality much more appealing.

Print Instructions

For the main holder:

  • PETG or PLA (I would go PETG if it will be close to the heated bed)
  • 0.2 layer height
  • 5 top layers - 6 bottom
  • Infill 10-20% depending on what type. (I used 15% rect)
  • For best results, make sure ‘External Perimeters First’ is NOT check-marked.
  • Make sure ‘Fill Gaps’ IS check-marked
  • No Supports

For the tiles:

  • PETG or PLA (same rules apply as above)
  • 0.2 layer height
  • 5 top layers - 6 bottom
  • There shouldn't be any infill
  • For these, make sure the ‘External Perimeters’ AND ‘Fill Gaps’ are check-marked
  • Color change for text at 1.80mm (see picture)
  • You'll need two tiles per slot: a material tile (Br - brass, Hd - Hardened), and a Size Tile
  • Be creative! Match the text color of the size tile to the Revo nozzle sock, etc!

NOTE: The tile tolerance is extremely tight! This is to prevent the tiles from vibrating while the printer is in operation. If the tiles are TOO tight, you can scale them down in your slicer by 5%.

Mounting

There are three holes on each side to allow for flexible mounting on an extrusion. You can use the holes to mount the holder at the right height. Works on 2020 and 3030. The holes and countersink are designed for an M5 button head type bolt. The length you'll need will depend on what extrusion you are mounting to.
