Ikea Skadis Modular Wall Mount System

This design is an alternative wall-mounting system for IKEA SKÅDIS that allows panels to be connected both horizontally and vertically without using the mounting rails required by the original solution.

The system is designed so that each connection node is fixed to the wall with only a single screw, while all panel corners are securely mounted. Unlike the original setup, the panels are not only supported at the top but are fully fixed to the wall at the bottom too, resulting in improved stability. Thanks to this approach, the number of holes drilled into the wall is minimized while maintaining high strength. A setup of six SKÅDIS panels requires only 12 wall holes.

 

The individual adapters can be freely combined to create different layouts. The panels are spaced 10 mm from the wall.
For final mounting, original IKEA SKÅDIS screws with plastic heads are used.
