Cardboard Spool Converter to Bambu Spool

I'll start by prefacing that I've been on a long hunt for the universal solution to deal with cardboard spools in the AMS. I've tried every ring adapter, every spool replacement, cardboard adapter, you name it! Long story short, there aren't many that I can say work for every type of cardboard spool you get. There's just too much variation!

 

After a long search, I stumbled across this model (which was stunningly perfect) Universal Spool v2 for Bambu AMS by Kubikossi - MakerWorld Full credit to Kubikossi for designing (IMHO) the best adapter available today. I haven't encountered a Cardboard spool this badboy can't handle.

 

That said, this solution created an interesting problem for me: What to do with ample Bambu spools kicking around? They shouldn't go to waste.

 

Solution (to a problem created by a prior Solution): The Cardboard Spool Converter to Bambu Spool!

 

This was designed to fit the select few cardboard spools that have wide enough diameters in the centre to house a Bambu spool. What this adapter does is ensure tight fit despite diameter variation, and provides a notch to latch on in order to provide good grip to the core. Designed to be filament lite. Simple as that!

 

I consider this adapter the baby brother/sidekick to the aforementioned Universal Spool. Hope its helpful and I'd value any feedback!
