Description

This is a smaller version of my other Steam Deck Arcade. This version is more accessible, anyone with a Steam Deck can build this without the need for external monitor or speakers. I'd love to see what you guys make and if you have any questions please let me know and I'll be happy to help.

I designed this around the print bed of my P1S so anyone with smaller printers may need to adjust the parts to fit better on your own bed.

Parts needed:

Steam Deck

4x M5 Short Screws and Nuts

Picade Max Controller Board

Pimoroni Joystick

12x Pimoroni Arcade Buttons

Pimoroni Wiring Loom V2

USB-C to USB-C cable

(Optional USB-C Hub for charging and peripherals)

  1. Print the parts using the provided file.
  2. Combine the two base parts using the hexagonal pegs to align with superglue.
  3. Combine the the cover parts using the hexagonal pegs to align with superglue.
  4. Mount the joystick to it’s printed part using the 4x M5 screws and nuts.
  5. Add the arcade buttons to the holes in the printed part.
  6. Combine the joystick and buttons parts using superglue, aligning with the hexagonal pegs.
  7. Glue together the combined base and dock to the left side panel using glue and align using the pegs.
  8. Align your arcade buttons/joystick part and cover part into the circular holes DO NOT GLUE.
  9. Align the other side to the right panel and glue near the areas with hexagonal pegs DO NOT GLUE NEAR CIRCULAR PEGS.
  10. Wait for it to dry.
  11. Slot your Picade MAX controller board into the cut out in the base and plug the USB-C cable into your Steam Deck. Then use the wiring loom to test inputs in your controller settings on your Steam Deck.
  12. Sit back and enjoy some arcade goodness!
