Boost MeWould love a boost.
This project started as a simple idea… see my other scepter. But then i had some extra time (its sunday so hey who can blame me)
and evolved into something more.
What looks like an ornamental skull-topped scepter hides two secrets:
- A concealed dagger hidden inside the staff
- A glowing LED light embedded inside the skull
Perfect as a fantasy prop, display piece, or cosplay accessory.
Features
- Hidden dagger stored inside the scepter
- Slides in and out smoothly
- Secure fit inside the shaft
- Skull head with internal LED tea light
- LED is removable for battery replacement
- Fake flame removed so only the LED core remains
- Switch remains accessible after assembly
- No electronics or soldering required
Important Assembly Notes ⚠️
- The staff section must be positioned directly under the battery compartment of the LED tea light
→ This is required so the batteries can be replaced later. - When inserting the LED tea light:
- Rotate it so the battery door is centered inside the skull
- The battery door should face the teeth/jaw side of the skull
- Correct orientation ensures:
- Easy battery access
- Proper alignment of the staff
- No need to disassemble the skull
Printing Notes
- The dagger is printed in regular PLA
- The scepter / sheath was designed with Silk PLA in mind
- Inner tolerances account for silk PLA’s tendency to print slightly tighter
- Supports needed (depending on orientation)
- If you use different filament brands, printing a short test section of the shaft is recommended
Assembly
- Insert the LED tea light from the bottom of the skull
- Align the battery door towards the teeth side, centered in the skull
- Attach the staff section directly beneath the battery compartment
- Slide the dagger into the shaft
The awesome skull i used is from JaminV.
