The Makerspace Book Nook

This is a Makerspace Book Nook including the Bambulab H2D and X1C/P2S as a model.

Book nook dimensions: 160 x 150 x 220 mm (additional 10mm is needed for the lamp on the top).

The scale of this book nook is 1:11.

Due to the amount of different items, the print profile is divided into four parts (walls, X1C/P2S, H2D, and accessories).

Print Profile 1 (Wall Parts): Walls, Ceiling, Window

Print Profile 2 (H2D): H2D parts, AMS parts, Filament spools

Print Profile 3 (X1C/P2S): X1C/P1S parts, AMS parts, Filament spools

Print Profile 4 (Furniture): Filament shelf, Clock, Flower pot, Flower, Books, Vase, Drawer shelf, Table, Stool, Wall shelf

Print Profile 5 (A1): A1 parts [NEW]

The book nook can also be used without the LED Lamp Kit. For this, there is an additional ceiling inside the wall parts print profile ("Ceiling for NO Lamp").

Some parts like all the wall parts, the hanging shelves and the clock, need to be assembled to the intended position.

This explosion drawing shows the location of these parts. The walls have recesses for attaching the shelves and the clock. 

Glue is needed for at least the filament shelf and the window. Other parts will stay in position without glue.

All pieces of furniture that are not attached to a wall recess can be arranged as desired.

The window backplate and the H2D windows are printed in PETG Translucent (see BOM). This is not necessary, but will increase the look.

On top of the book nook, there is the possibility to add the Bambu Lab LED Lamp Kit (MH001). If the Lamp is too bright for you, there is a “Light Dimmer Plate" inside the wall parts print profile. I have used two of them to get the light darker. Printed in white PLA.

A AMS is only needed for the two color wall clock. All other parts will simply be pressed together. 

Smart Home Idea: I have connected the book nook lamp to a smart plug, like my printer. When the printer is on, the book nook will also be on automatically.
