📚 Book Nook – Steam Locomotive at the Station

This Book Nook scene features a classic steam locomotive standing at a railway station, designed to bring depth and atmosphere to your bookshelf.

The profiles are optimized for reduced filament waste, faster printing, and reliable assembly, while still allowing full freedom for recoloring and customization.

🔧 Print Profiles Overview

  • Profile 1 – HueForge Background
  • Profile 2 – Train
  • Profile 3 – Station

🖼 HueForge Background Profile

  • Color change at layer 6 (Black → White)

🚂 Train Profile

Train – Part 1 Plate

  • Optimized layer changes for less waste and faster printing
  • Colors are optimized, but you can freely repaint if desired
(rivets and other small details can also be recolored)

Train – Parts 2 Plate

  • Includes spare shafts
  • Shafts are small and can break during assembly, printing extras is recommended If not needed, they can be deleted safely

Train – Parts 3 Plate

  • Print by object, not by layer
  • Minimal color changes for efficiency
  • Pipe supports are slightly difficult to remove, but manageable
(rough areas will face inward and remain hidden)

Train – Part 4 Plate

  • Optimized layer changes for material savings and print speed
  • Recoloring is optional

(Optional) Complete Train Plate – Long Print

  • Very long print time
  • Many color changes required
  • Recommended for H2C printing
  • Not printed by me yet
👉 Feedback is appreciated if you print this version

🔩 Train Assembly

  • Most parts are tight press-fit, glue is usually not required
  • Pipes must be glued
  • Fit may vary depending on printer calibration
→ please don’t downrate due to tolerance differences

Wheels & Axles

  • Wheels can be gently pressed onto axles
  • Remove brim residue carefully before assembly
  • Axles are fragile → handle with care

Small Outer Tanks

  • Each tank has two mounting holes
  • Simply snap them into place

🏛 Station Profile

Lamps Plate

  • Small and delicate parts
  • Easy to break during support removal → be careful
  • I recommend printing a spare part as well
(same filament waste during color changes)

Optional:

  • Delete Body 17 (inner white part)
  • Lamps become hollow and single-color, still looking great

Rail + Etc Plate

  • Print by object
  • Few color changes
  • Can be split into separate plates if preferred
  • Bench part is fragile due to its size, Easy to break during support removal → be careful
  • Sand brim residue for easier fitting into platform holes

Other Station Plates

  • Simple prints
  • No special recommendations
  • Side walls are optional → skipping them saves time and filament

⚙️ General Assembly Notes (Station)

  • Before assembly: lightly sand arch connection points
  • Tolerances may vary due to flow or calibration differences
→ please be understanding, this is not a model issue
  • The rail fits into the platform only one way
  • Glue is optional
    • The model can be assembled without it
    • Use glue where you feel it’s necessary

💡 Lighting

  • Fully compatible with Bambu LED Lamp Kit 001
  • HueForge background creates strong depth and atmosphere in the Book Nook
