Description

I was working on a different large model that required 2 buttons that would move up and down. After several failed attempts, I decided to work on a standalone model to get the functionality correct without having to reprint all of the other parts of the model. As a result, I ended up creating this rocker fidget switch that works surprisingly well on its own.

This switch makes a clicking noise when you press it. It's available in a square or round shape and as a one, two, or four switches. You can also choose whether to include a loop for a keychain.

Each profile includes a single switch insert on the first plate that you can clone for the number you need. Each subsequent plate contains the different bases.

Important

I have found that different types of PLA and colors have varying results on the clicking and how hard it is to press the switch. Matte PLA is easier to press. If you find that the switch requires more force than you'd like, place both thumbs on either side of the switch and rock it back and force without the clicking noise. This will remove some of the friction and make the switch easier to operate.

It also takes some force to push the switch into the base. This is unavoidable as the bumps within the base needed to be a certain size in order to provide a good pivot point.
