Description
I put together this recreation of the L.ego bonsai tree but at 150% scale.
A few parts don't exist or are not suitable to be 3D printed so i redesigned them to work correctly which i have documented below.
If you open the print profile everything should be set up perfectly in the correct orientation and with supports. Simply hit print.
If you are downloading the STL files then everything will need to be scaled to 150% except for the technic pins which need to be at 145% for tolerance purposes. All files are named by colour and quantity needed so it is easy to set up. You may get a non manifold warning, just hit repair and you'll be good to go.
To bend the vine around the trunk, gently heat it with a lighter or hairdryer until its flexible enough to bend.
GLUE WILL BE NEEDED. USE SUPERGLUE OR SIMILAR.
Please test fit each part before gluing in case any trimming or clean up is required, also ensure it is in the correct place as the glue sets very fast.
The instructions are attached in a PDF document. Please download them.
If you would like to watch the build series for this design, search for ‘thepanda3dprints’ in instagram or ‘PandaPrints’ on tiktok.
Print these parts at 145%
When you get to the part of the instructions below on step 63, instead of 2 blocks with a hole them and a technic pin, i designed a 2x2 brick with pin attached
If bricks are orientated to print with studs on the side, you may need to trim a small amount of the sagging part to ensure a tight fit.
