Description

This project is mostly for my enjoyment, any feedback is greatly appreciated, especially with the print configuration since I mostly created the model and commissioned someone else to print it, I have 0 other 3D printing knowledge.

A dummy model meant for decoration on model guns. The lens cap can be flipped up or down, can be rotated to your liking and can be removed. Includes a spacer that should help the sight reach lower 1/3 height. You should be able to mount it on any Aimpoint T1/T2 pattern mounts.

To use the included mount, you'll need an M4x30mm screw and M4 nut to attach it to a picatinny rail. Additional hardware needed if you intend to use this on a compatible mount (Use one of the 4 below):

  • 4 M3x8/10mm screws to attach it to a compatible mount, or:
  • Aimpoint T1/T2 compatible screws (real/airsoft), or:
  • Longer M3 screws, up to 25mm if you use the spacer. Just keep twisting the screws until they sink into the mount, just enough for you to be able to put it on a picatinny rail.
  • Superglue, if you don't intend to get the sight off the mount.

Some printers might struggle to print the cylindrical pins for the lens caps, in which case you can use whatever fits the length and diameter e.g. piece of filament wrapped in tape.
