Modular 5-Spoke Wheel Rim – PMT 1/8 GT Standard

This project features a modular 5-spoke wheel rim, designed and dimensioned according to the currently available PMT 1/8 GT standard rim. The rim was specifically developed to be compatible with a PMT F1 44/27-80 treaded tire, which was in my possession for about 20 years, but never used. Since these tires have a very nice realistic look, I decided to design a rim in order to use them on my 1/8 GT, obviously for aesthetic reasons only.

The modular design allows the wheel to be assembled (glued) from two separate parts, making it easier to print, customize, and replace individual parts if needed. The proportions and bead profile are optimized to ensure a proper fit with PMT 1/8 GT tires, but I'm almost sure that tires from other vendors will properly fit without any problem.
