Print-In-Place Chapstick / Lip balm Tube

Fully functional, print-in-place chapstick tube with no central threaded rod running through the balm.

Printed with a 0.2mm nozzle at 0.08mm layer height, using tight clearances to achieve smooth motion and a satisfying click when the cap is fully screwed on.

The tube is designed so that the mechanism is fully integrated, and the internal supports only release when you perform the initial twist with the help of the custom wrench.

Three printing profiles are available. Start with the 0.25mm clearance if you're unsure, and work your way down once you're confident in your printer's capabilities. Tighter clearances give the tube a much nicer, smoother feel in use, but the 0.10mm version was previously only achievable in ABS. A dedicated PETG profile is also available. Intermediate clearance versions are planned.
