• Added:
  • New Gridfinity drawer options in both drawer sizes for the H and X/P series drawers
  • New Gridfinity inserts options for the H and X/P series drawers that slides into existing drawers
    • Note: since these drawers were originally designed for the Ikea Kallax shelf, there are small gaps on the internal edges of the drawers, but I maximized the space as much as possible
• H-Series drawers and inserts are 3x7 Gridfinity for 21 total slots
• X/P-Series drawers and inserts are 3x5 Gridfinity for 15 total slots

 

Main Description

This is a revision of my original Ikea Kallax Modular Drawer design based on community feedback and some design ideas I have been wanting to implement after the original posting. Like version one, the design is entirely support free. 

Improvements:

• Larger design to take full advantage of the different print bed sizes
  • A print profile sized for the X/P series printers and A1 printer (no A1 mini)
  • A print profile sized for the H series printers
• More efficient design on the cubbies
  • Adjusted design to save filament but still keep structural integrity
• Redesigned the locking section on the cubbies for nesting the drawers together for a better fit
• Added a label holder option on both sized drawers for a cardstock/paper label
  • The paper will slide from the top along the tracks and can be removed
• With the larger drawers are larger drawer dividers, which can create more customizable drawer sections

Label Size:

Full Size Drawers

US Standard: 2.75" x 1.5" 

Metric: 70mm x 38mm 

 

Half Size Drawers

US Standard: 2.75" x 2"

Metric: 70mm x 50mm 

Tip(s):

• Make sure filament is dry and/or tuned for the printer when printing the drawers with the labels since the tolerances are tight
