Description

There's a few versions of these on here but none that I could find that are compatible with a tank that has a plastic edging around the top of the glass. This results in a wide gap being needed to be able to slip over the glass. This model was made for a Juwel 180L tank which has a 13mm thick edge. I'm only guessing but I assume that Juwel tanks of all sizes with the same plastic edging would have the same thickness. The 2nd change I made was the addition of holes all around the sides / walls. I did this to make sure that no water would flow back creating splashing and a big mess.  The design is quite robust. I used a 25% infill and only 2 wall thickness. It's more than enough and gives you a G-code error if you increase the wall thickness any more than 2. I also used manual support. If you leave it on auto it puts support under each hole on the wall sides which is not necessary. The holes are small enough to go without supports. I couldn't be happier with the result. I can now pour water from a bucket at full speed without any disruption to any of the plants or features in my tank.
