B.A.N.G. - Box for All Necessary Gear

The B.A.N.G. Container is a functional storage solution inspired by the silhouette of a tactical stun grenade. Unlike simple decorative props, this model was engineered to serve as a rugged Everyday Carry (EDC) organizer for various small items. It combines a distinct aesthetic with practical mechanical features to ensure reliability in daily use.

Precision Twist-Off Mechanism

The lid is equipped with a robust twist-off closure. This mechanism was chosen over simple friction fits because it provides a mechanical lock that remains stable even when the container is tossed into a backpack or subject to movement. It allows for rapid access while preventing accidental opening.

Modular Inlay System

To maximize versatility, the container supports two internal configurations:

• Standard Configuration: Utilizing the full internal volume for larger items.

• Integrated Inlay Configuration: An optional inner frame that prevents small parts, such as coins or electronic components, from falling through the decorative ventilation holes on the outer shell. This inlay can be added during the initial print or retrofitted later as needed.

Technical Printing Requirements

The model has been optimized for FDM 3D printers

• Material Recommendation: For best results and durability of the twist-lock mechanism, PLA Tough, PETG, or ABS are recommended.
• Infill: A minimum of 15% gyroid infill is recommended for the outer shell to provide the necessary impact resistance for daily carry.

Safety and Public Usage Note

Although the B.A.N.G. Container is a harmless storage tool, its silhouette is based on tactical equipment. To prevent misunderstandings with law enforcement or the public, it is strongly advised to print this model in bright, non-military colors (e.g., orange, blue, or neon colors). Using realistic olive or black finishes in public spaces is not recommended by the designer.
