Makita Trimmer Stepped Base Plate

Introducing a practical solution born out of necessity: a stepped base designed specifically for the Makita trimmer! While working in my workshop, I encountered the challenge of needing to trim materials flush with the surface. After some thought and experimentation, I developed this innovative jig that perfectly addresses that requirement.

This stepped base not only enhances the functionality of your trimmer but also allows for precise routing at varying depths, ensuring a clean and professional finish every time. The design includes a dedicated hole to easily attach a handle with a screw, making it simpler to maneuver the tool during operation.

In my pursuit of efficiency, I've prioritised compactness in this design. The handle I’ve crafted is merely a scrap piece of wood I had lying around, which can be easily removed when not in use. This feature allows you to quickly detach the handle and neatly store the jig away without taking up unnecessary space in your workshop.
