While there are various tape dispensers for 3D printing, I propose a completely innovative and practical dispenser that stands apart from the others. And its name is 'TAPESY.'
'TAPESY' is a combination of 'TAPE' and 'EASY'.
Supprt larger spools, more fuctional, better detail.
If you enjoy building and want a more complete model, you will love the TAPESY PACKER V2 model.
This is a handy tape dispenser for use with both masking & plastic tapes.(for 48~50mm wide tapes)
This model includes 2 types of blades which are for masking & plastic tapes.
The blades are securely fastened with a sliding and snap-fit mechanism, allowing for easy replacement. And because they're so small, reprinting is quick and easy. And printing them separately with stronger materials is also possible.
Most 3D printing dispensers require a separate metal blade for cutting plastic tape, but this model requires no additional blade or hardware.
While this model is primarily designed for convenient box packing, it can also be used in most other situations.
Assembly is simple, and initial installation of the tape is easy.
Separate sections for cutting and rolling the tape are provided, allowing for quick use without having to manually re-tighten the tape during continuous use. And the system prevents the tape roll back.
TAPESY uses a specially designed 3D-printed blade(TAPESY BLADE) instead of a serrated metal blade. This design exploits the properties of plastic tape. Plastic tape has very high tensile strength, but it can easily break even with a small hole in its center. This device exploits this characteristic to easily cut the tape without the need for a metal blade.
That's why the cut cross-section of the tape is cut in a shape with a pointed center rather than a sawtooth shape.
And I've found one advantage to this shape: it's much less likely to tear in the middle of the tape compared to a serrated cut.

When cutting plastic tape, be sure to use strong force and a quick cut. Otherwise, the tape may stretch without creating a hole in the center, making cutting difficult.
When cutting masking tape, it is easier to cut it by tilting the tool slightly to one side.

Model modifications to increase the strength of the body joints
1. Added a slot to store up to two extra blades.
2. Adjusted the details of the entire model.
