Description
I have a lot of problems with subluxating finger joints and sore fingerjoints. These Splints help give the joints some rest and prevent hyperextension. They also help determine wheter real silversplints or proffesionally made splints would work for your personal situation.
Size 100% is about a size 9 in american ring size. You can try out different sizes by printing a range of sizes you think you would need and when you know which sizes you need just change the text to something that would help you. The sizes are all percentages from the 100%/size 9 one. Smaller splints will be more fragile. There are some other splint models to be found here on makerworld but because I had lots of problems with those breaking or not having a full range of sizes I made my own. These are built from scratch and are optimised for my hands. If anyone ever thinks the angles should be different for instance, please send me a message :)
Boost Meplease boost me so I can make mode adaptive models, accessibility tools, tube feeding tools and braces. I also make fun mini models of adaptive sports and much more! Your boost helps a lot! When printing definitive ones: For instance I change the “109” text to “R1” as thumb right. R2 as point finger right. L5 as left pinky. This text can also be printed on the inside, I would recomment a slight indented text or using dots.
If you need a size just in between the ones I made you could make your own size by cloning the 100% one and taking a percentage in between like 98,5%
I use different colors just for fun also. The splints used for sizing can be printed in your non favorite PLA. For your definitive ones I would recommend PETG and making them as strong as possible but keep in mind the shrinkage can be different.
I hope these will help you!
