Description

This is a print-in-place flexible chain designed to work straight off the build plate.

  • No supports required
  • Fully articulated after printing
  • Tested with a real print – photos show the actual printed model
  • Ideal as a mechanical test print, flexibility demo, or functional chain element

🔧 Technical Details

  • Total number of chain links (teeth): 20
  • Size of a single chain tooth: 6 × 11 × 2 mm
  • Designed to print as one single piece

🖨️ Print Settings (Recommended)

  • Layer height: 0.08 mm (minimum possible layer height recommended)
  • Supports: None
  • Brim/Raft: Not required
  • Material: PLA (tested), other materials may work but are not guaranteed

ℹ️ Notes

  • Make sure your printer is well-calibrated for small clearances.
  • After printing, gently flex the chain to fully free the joints.
  • Do not force it while still hot.

If it prints cleanly on your machine, your calibration is in good shape.
