Diseño

Impresión en color

• Gris Claro (Filamentum Extrafil Electric Grey PLA)
• Gris Oscuro (Filamentum Extrafil PLA Gris Hierro)

• Bronce (Fiberlogy FiberSilk Metallic Bronze, se ve opaco en el carrete pero se imprime brillante)

Guía de impresión

Todas las piezas han sido prealineadas para la impresión.

Probablemente necesitará habilitar el borde en varias de estas piezas, especialmente en las piezas más grandes del mango que tienen áreas de contacto muy pequeñas.

Si bien no se requieren soportes en la mayoría de las piezas, hay algunas piezas más pequeñas que sí requieren soportes y 4 piezas (2 por mango) que necesitan soportes de puente debido a los puentes largos (estos se usan como superficies de pegamento, por lo que mientras los puentes no No son visibles (es necesario que sean relativamente planos para crear una buena superficie para alinear las cosas). Donde se requieren soportes se indica en el nombre del archivo.

Nota: Los soportes de puente deben habilitarse manualmente en algunas cortadoras (como la cortadora Prusa)

Imprimí esto en varios PLA en alturas de capa de 0,1 a 0,2 mm (dependiendo de la pieza) con la configuración de relleno predeterminada. Aumenté el número de perímetros de las piezas grandes del mango para darles algo de resistencia adicional.

Convenciones de nomenclatura de archivos

El nombre del archivo contiene información sobre:

Montaje

Se incluye un documento PDF con instrucciones básicas de montaje.

Además de las piezas impresas, necesitarás dos anillos en D. Utilicé anillos en D de 30x20 mm con una sección transversal de 3 mm; cualquier tamaño debería funcionar siempre que la sección transversal sea la misma. Amazon los vende por bolsa llena por poco dinero.

Algunas de las superficies del pegamento son bastante pequeñas, lo cual es malo, pero es demasiado tarde para cambiarlas, por lo que debes utilizar superpegamento con un aplicador estrecho o con brocha. Tenga cuidado al alinear las partes del mango principal o terminará con una costura fea; otras partes tienden a ocultar problemas de alineación debido a la forma en que se ensamblan los mangos.

Summary
Replica of the handles of Ahsoka Tano's white-bladed lightsabers from Rebels and The Mandalorian.

Design
This file has been split to minimize the number of supports and allow it to be printed in different colors before assembly (to minimize finishing work). The images included have not been sanded or painted and are practically just printed, cleaned and assembled.

Color printing
If you want to print this in separate colors (rather than painting it yourself), you will need (with the markings I used in parentheses)

Light Gray (Filamentum Extrafil Electric Gray PLA)
Dark Gray (Filamentum Extrafil PLA Iron Gray)
Silver (Polyalchemy Elixir Lucid Pearl PLA, not the best option but it's the one I had)
Bronze (Fiberlogy FiberSilk Metallic Bronze, looks dull on the reel but prints bright)
Black (old rigid ink spool, but no longer exists)
Printing guide
All parts have been pre-aligned for printing.

You will probably need to enable the edge on several of these pieces, especially on the larger handle pieces that have very small contact areas.

While no supports are required on most parts, there are a few smaller parts that do require supports and 4 pieces (2 per handle) that need bridge supports due to the long bridges (these are used as glue surfaces, for example). which while the bridges are not visible (they need to be relatively flat to create a good surface to line things up on). Where supports are required is indicated in the file name.

Note: Bridge supports must be enabled manually on some slicers (such as Prusa slicer)

I printed this in various PLA at 0.1-0.2mm layer heights (depending on the part) with the default infill settings. I increased the number of perimeters on the large handle pieces to give them some extra strength.

File Naming Conventions
The file name contains information about:

If the piece is for the large or small handle
a part number
The color to be printed (from light gray, dark gray, silver, bronze, black)
If brackets and/or bridge supports are required
The name of the part
Assembly
A PDF document with basic assembly instructions is included.

In addition to the printed parts, you will need two D-rings. I used 30x20mm D-rings with a 3mm cross section; any size should work as long as the cross section is the same. Amazon sells them by the bag full for cheap.

Some of the glue surfaces are quite small, which is bad, but it's too late to change them, so use super glue with a narrow applicator or brush. Be careful when lining up the main handle parts or you'll end up with an ugly seam; Other parts tend to hide alignment issues due to the way the handles are assembled.
