Fully Parametric 2.5″ Drive Cage (Tool-less, Rail Slider-Based)
This is a fully parametric 2.5-inch drive cage designed for HDDs and SSDs, featuring a tool-less rail and latch system for easy installation and removal without screws. Drives slide in from the open top and lock into place using side rails, allowing quick access while maintaining secure retention. The cage includes structural wall cutouts to reduce material usage while preserving rigidity around critical areas such as the rails and latch windows.

Print Recommendations
- Material
- PLA / PLA+ / PLA Pro – For drive cages used externally or in open-air setups
- PETG / ABS (Recommended) – For drive cages used inside a PC case, shelf, or rack
- Layer Height
- 0.16 mm – Higher strength
- 0.2 mm – Normal use
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Wall Count: 2–4 walls (For heavier drives or 24/7 operation, higher wall count is recommended)
- Infill: 15–30% (Gyroid or Cubic)
- Supports: Not required (assuming good bridging performance)
- Orientation: Print as uploaded (no rotation required)

Notes:
- Intended for 2.5″ HDDs and SSDs only
- Drive sliders / rails are required (upcoming)
- Parameters are edited via Fusion 360 or MakerWorld’s parametric editor
- Larger drive counts may exceed smaller printer build volumes
