Usher Syndrome Lanyard Card

This is a compact Usher Syndrome Id Lanyard card designed to quickly alert others to a hidden disability in every day situations, like on public transport, shopping centres work or school. 

The card has high contrast, raised text for improved legibility and durability making it ideal for daily use on a lanyard, badge holder or keychain. This design prints cleanly on its back without the need for any supports, mouse ears or brims to clean off in post processing. It could be printed on a non AMS 3D printer by adding a pause to the print. 

I printed this in orange and black PLA for strong visual contrast but it can be printed in whatever colours you would prefer to suit your personal needs best. 

Note: The symbols in this design are not perfectly aligned with standard accessibility iconography, as this was my first project created using OpenSCAD (a code-based modelling tool). I plan to revise and improve the design in the future.

For reference, the intended symbols are:
• An eye to represent visual impairment,
• An ear with lines to represent deafness,
• A tipped balance to represent balance difficulties.
