Hey all!

I got myself a JJRC C8823, with the cargo bed. IT was a bit plain looking, so I decided to design a camper rear body to replace the cargo bed, which I could doll up to make look like an Aussie style rear, or like those Dakar rigs blasting through the desert!

The model is just the body, the lid, and the mounts to attach to the Unimog Chassis. There aren't any holes, you just need to either use self tapping screws to attach the mounts to the chassis, or drill holes and use the original screws. I only made 2 mounts, for the front mount and rear mount. I didn't reuse the middle mount, as it requires removing one of the links to reach, and I didn't think it was necessary. IF you want to add a 3rd mount and use it, feel free, i think it should work. I just didn't think it was needed.

Then once the mounts are attached, you can either screw the body onto the mounts from the top, or use a strong double side tape or super glue. I taped mine down with a strong double side tape, and it holds just fine. The lid also has no built in way to attach, just choose however you want to attach it. I screwed mine down with 3 screws on each side.

The design is a simple one, for a diy'er who wants to tinker with getting it mounted and configured the way you want. I just found some jerry can, roof top tent, and traction board accessories here on makerworld.

No permanent modifications need to be made to the truck to attach. Once it's on, you just need to unscrew the camper body and screw back on the cargo bed. I don't know if the mounts for the car carrier is different, I don't have that model. I suspect it's probably the same though.

Enjoy!
