Designed with a built-in 15° viewing angle and internal mechanical rails, it ensures your lithophane stays perfectly upright and securely locked.
Key Mechanical Features
- 📐 Precision 5.1mm Channel: Calibrated to fit standard lithophanes with just enough clearance for a smooth slide-in fit without the wiggle.
- 🏗️ Internal Support Rails: Vertical slanted rails provide a solid "backboard," ensuring your photo doesn't lean or warp over time.
- 🕯️ Custom Light Mounting: Choose between Bottom-Mount or Back-Mount for your LED tea lights or puck lights via the OpenSCAD Customizer. (Personally I like the back-mount, but if you keep the depth high enough, and play around, you should find the fit for your models)
- 🌬️ Heat Management: The lid features built-in ventilation ports (six on the top of the lid) to prevent heat buildup from tea lights, extending the life of your PLA prints.
- 🧱 Friction-Fit Lid: The lid includes a 2.5mm recessed lip designed to clear the internal rails, providing a seamless, flush finish.

Print Settings
- Supports: None required. The internal rails and viewing window are designed with 3D-printable angles.
- Walls: 3 perimeters for a light-tight box.
- Material:
- Box: Black or Dark PLA (to prevent light bleed).
- Lid: Same as box.
- Layer Height: 0.2mm is perfect.
