The MAXi Train series journeys into the heart of the Indian subcontinent with Taj Express, a miniature tribute to India’s timeless heritage, spiritual depth, and architectural grandeur. At the center of the scene rises the majestic Taj Mahal, its iconic white dome and perfect symmetry standing as a universal symbol of love, balance, and Mughal elegance. Framed by its formal garden and central water canal, the monument anchors the diorama in a moment of serenity and harmony. Nearby, the imposing walls of the Red Fort assert a powerful presence. With its massive ramparts and rounded towers, the fort reflects India’s imperial history and the strength of its past empires, contrasting with the calm refinement of the Taj Mahal through bold, grounded forms. Completing the architectural journey, the radiant Golden Temple of Amritsar emerges in a compact yet unmistakable silhouette. Rising from its sacred pool, it introduces a spiritual dimension to the scene, symbolizing devotion, peace, and unity through its golden presence and tranquil geometry. Bringing life and narrative flow to the diorama, a traditional Indian train winds its way through the landscape, linking each landmark along its path. Its continuous motion creates a visual journey across cultures, eras, and beliefs, transforming the scene into a living panorama. Alongside the tracks and pathways, elephants move calmly through the environment, adding scale, rhythm, and a powerful cultural symbol that reinforces the timeless character of India. As with every MAXi Train creation, Taj Express blends architecture, storytelling, and mechanical motion into a compact collectible. Designed with clean lines and simplified forms for miniature 3D printing, it captures the essence of India—where history, spirituality, and everyday life converge along a journey shaped by tradition, movement, and enduring beauty.

 

This new design is based on the Mini Train Collection of BamBam Design (https://linktr.ee/bambamdesign). This model is 2.5X bigger than usual BamBam Design Mini Train Collection. You are free to adapt the scale if you want to make it compatible with other designs. In this case, be aware that some piece might be very small and also make sure to also apply the same ratio for magnets. Apply a 40% or 0.4 ratio to be compatible with BamBam Design Mini Train Collection.

Assembly:

 

Needed :

• 6x Round Magnet 10x5mm

 

Steps:

 

1. Insert 3pcs magnets (10x5mm) in the trains (Indian Train).
2. Insert 3pcs magnets (10x5mm) in the wheel’s pin. These magnets must attract the trains (Indian Train).
3. Add the wheel’s pin onto the wheel, fix the wheel to the base by pressing gently. Wheel’s pin must follow the designated path. You can use the trains or some spare magnets to prevent the wheel’s pin movements of the path while doing so.
4. Use a lighter or an hot air gun to bent the palm leaves a bit. (Do not overheat the plastic!)
5. Fix the terrain to the base by using palm trees dedicated. You can add a bit of glue to combine.
6. Fix others elements such as monuments and buildings. You can add a bit of glue to combine.
7. Turn the wheel and have fun!
