Description
Clicking on a letter will take you to the page for that design.
While there are various tape dispensers for 3D printing, I propose a completely innovative and practical dispenser that stands apart from the others. And its name is 'TAPESY.'
'TAPESY' is a combination of 'TAPE' and 'EASY'.
Not only that, but I've also received feedback on some great ideas and issues.
In response, I've created a new model.
This model was developed from scratch, carefully examining the shortcomings of the existing Tapesy Packer and incorporating all of your suggestions and my own ideas for improvement.
While I could have updated the existing model, I felt this model was somewhat more complex than its predecessor, and user preferences may vary, so I'm releasing it as a separate model. This model is more robust and easier to use than most dispensers on the market, and it eliminates the need for metal blades.
My wife is often critical of many of my 3D-printed designs, but she was effusive in her praise for this one. She does a lot of packaging, and after using this, she threw out her old dispenser. :)
1. Like the previous model, it features two blades that support each plastic and paper tape. The TAPESY BLADE angle and other details have been finely adjusted to provide better cutting performance than the previous version. Furthermore, the blade has a more compact design, allowing for faster printing when printing with the new blade. (at left is TAPESY BLADE for plastic tapes)
2. Like the previous model, it provides slots for storing up to two additional blades (with improved precision).
3. It can accommodate large tape spools with an outer diameter of up to 125 mm (the existing model could accommodate up to 110 mm). This allows for the installation of most plastic tapes.
4. Enhanced Anti-Rollback Function
Additional rollers and a flip-up roller that fits snugly against the bottom completely prevent the tape from being rewound.
5. Add a flap for the top grip
A flap added on top of the device for a more comfortable grip.
6. The left and right sides of the tape interlock to prevent twisting.
While existing models support the blade assembly with only one side, which can lead to twisting or damage, this model features a structure where both sides interlock, providing a more robust and symmetrical support for the blade assembly.
7. One-Handed Taping
The roller mounted on the bottom ensures that the tape diameter and the tape are always in contact with the floor. This allows you to start a new taping simply by touching the bottom of the device directly to the target object, without having to pull the tape out with your other hand. (Performance may not be perfect depending on the taping environment.)
Boost MeYour boost helps me spend more time creating better designs. And don’t forget to check my other models — you might discover something useful! 😊
2. Install the roller fixing cover.
3. Attach the tape to Body B. (Be careful about the direction of the adhesive surface.)
4. Insert Body A in the above state. (Be careful to keep the tape in place as it adheres to both sides between the roller of Body A and the flip of Body B.)
5. Install the upper flap.(You can do this part first.)
6.(Optional) Install the flap for finishing the taping.(like one at gun-type shipping dispenser)
Now, pack conveniently with TAPESY.
___________________________
The width has been increased by 1mm to allow the use of 2-inch wide tape.
Adjusted the blade attachment (body 1 with blade assembly and blade model modified)
1. The blade connection structure has been strengthened.
2. A flap has been added to assist with finishing the taping (like a gun-type shipping dispenser).
Some modifications have been made to the model to increase the strength of the parts. (body A & body B changed)
