Description
ESP32 Devkit V1 30 Pin CHONK Case
This is a case for your ESP32 board with a few different choices for snap fit lids.
There are many different types of ESP32 boards, check out the compatibility note section below to make sure it will fit your board.
Features
Lid Choices
There are a total of 6 lids for your choosing, I have placed each base & lid on separate plates so you can just print the plate for the lid you want.
I don't recommend the two “No LED” lids, these were designed for a friend who hates seeing the LED shine through. With no cut out this could cause higher temperatures and an early death for your ESP32 but I'm not your dad so use whatever lid you like.
Help, my ESP32 won't come out!
In most cases it comes out easily but due to the snug-ish fit you may find your ESP32 doesn't want to play ball.
Usually turning it upside down should allow it to fall out but if not the centre slot underneath is there to help with pushing it out, I recommend trying to push it out from the middle to keep the board straight, it get's stuck when one side comes out/off the pins before the other side.
If you struggle with getting your fingers into the gap then using the Lid itself to push the ESP32 out from underneath works as well.
Compatibility Note
It appears there are many similar ESP32 boards, this is specifically designed for the one pictured which is a “ESP-WROOM-32” Devkit V1 with 30 pins and a Micro USB input.
Being a CHONK case it's intended for ESP32s with soldered header pins but I have tried my ESP32s with no header pins and they fit fine too.
It may fit other ESP32 devices but your milage may vary, I would appreciate that if it does fit any others you please drop a comment with which so I can update this description :)
