I’ve added a new Korean finger heart photo frame that’s fully swappable with the bunny modules and slots directly onto the planetary shafts.
There are 3 sizes available. You can use any mix of sizes you like, but note that all-large hearts won’t fit together as they’ll collide during rotation. Mixing sizes works best.
A simple cutting template is included to help trim photos—just tape it over your picture and cut around the shape.
I’ve also included a separate standalone base if you’d like to print and use the finger heart frames without the rotating mechanism.
🌍 Overview
You Spin My World is a modular, interactive mechanical display created specifically as a Valentine’s Day gift and keepsake. Inspired by planetary motion and the idea that love revolves around connection, the design combines movement, surprise, and emotional storytelling into a single build.
Rather than being a purely decorative object, this model is designed to be played with, interacted with, and gifted with intent.
💖 Hidden Rotating Message Disc (Key Feature)
A core design element is the concealed rotating message mechanism integrated directly into the base enclosure.
A discreet cutout slot reveals a small viewing window
The default outward-facing side is blank for a clean, minimal appearance
Turning the external knob rotates a hidden internal disc, revealing short messages such as:
You Spin My World
Be My Valentine
My Heart Orbits You
Always and Forever
This feature introduces an element of surprise and emotional interaction, reinforcing the Valentine’s theme beyond surface decoration.
🧩 Modular Characters & Swappable Design
The rotating characters are mounted on a shaft driven by a planetary gear system
The current release includes three bunny characters, which serve as the first available character set
These characters are modular and removable
Additional animals and character designs will be added in future updates
Cups and plates are intentionally shaped so they can also function as small holders for trinkets or jewelry
The system is designed as a platform, allowing users to personalize and swap characters over time.
💍 Center Mount & Jewelry Stand (Upcoming Update)
The center shaft is designed to support a rotating jewelry stand intended for rings, earrings, and small accessories.
The center mount already rotates in the current model
A very simple jewelry stand design is currently being finalized
The jewelry stand will be uploaded as a separate update very soon
This allows users to enjoy the full mechanical system immediately while adding the jewelry stand later without reprinting the entire model.
⚙️ Interaction Options (2 Variants Included)
Two functional variants are included:
1️⃣ Manual Crank Version
Fully mechanical and interactive
No electronics required
2️⃣ Motorized Version
Compatible with:
N20 motor, or
N30 motor
Powered using either:
A repurposed USB cable (cut and soldered directly to the motor, if comfortable), or
A 4-bay AA battery box
Most parts are shared between both versions, with a few variant-specific components.
🔌 Motor Selection & Power Requirements (Important)
Recommended Motor Specs
Motor type: N20 (or N30 if higher torque is preferred)
Rated voltage:6V (very important)
Required for USB power or a 4×AA battery pack
Recommended speed:
50 RPM or 60 RPM
Anything faster tends to feel rushed and distracts from the intended slow, calm, and romantic motion of the design.
Similar motors are also available from Bambu Lab stores
🎨 AMS & Non-AMS Enclosure Options
Two enclosure body options are provided:
AMS version
Designed for multi-color printing
Print time varies depending on number of colors used
Non-AMS version
Way faster to print and no waste of material though the accents require supports. They are already orientated in the print profile but you may need to adjust according to your printer if there are any issues. I have printed them out fine with the oritention included.
Due to geometry and curvature:
Decorative accents differ slightly between versions
Accent parts are curved to match the enclosure and do not print flat on the build plate
Parts are placed for best results, but you are welcome to experiment with placement to reduce supports or improve finish
🖨️ Printing Notes & Tolerances
The project includes multiple build plates
Parts are separated and sliced individually with different print settings
You may adjust:
Layer height
Speed
Support density
Important Tolerance Notes
This model was designed and tested using Bambu Lab printers and Bambu filaments
Dimensional tolerances may vary when using:
Different printer brands
Different filament brands or material types
Minor fitting adjustments may be required depending on your setup
Material Recommendation
Screws and threaded parts are strongly recommended to be printed in basic PLA
Matte PLA may be more prone to deformation or breakage in threaded areas
🔧 Assembly Notes
Some decorative accents may require glue during assembly
The motor gear fit may be slightly tight
A small amount of force may be needed to seat the motor correctly with the center gear
All required supports are included in the provided print profiles
A detailed assembly video is included
🎨 Character Sculpting & File Size Notes
All decorative characters and accessories were sculpted in Nomad Sculpt
These assets are not AI-generated
As I am still new to organic sculpting, some character files may have larger file sizes
Higher-resolution meshes are intentionally preserved to maintain print quality
Boost MeIf you enjoy this design, a Boost would really mean a lot ❤️ Projects like this take time to design and iterate, and your support helps me continue creating new interactive and thoughtful models for the community.
🔮 Future Expansion
Planned updates include:
Additional character and animal designs
Multiple jewelry stand variations
Additional hidden message disc options
💡 Designer’s Note
You Spin My World was created specifically for Valentine’s Day — as an interactive keepsake that blends motion, hidden messages, and emotional intent. Whether used as decor, a gift, or a functional display, it is designed to be enjoyed through both movement and discovery.
