Dieses Werk erkundet die physische und emotionale Schnittmenge zweier Individuen. In einer fließenden, fast symbiotischen Linienführung verschmelzen zwei menschliche Silhouetten zu einer skulpturalen Einheit. Die bewusste Reduktion auf das Wesentliche – ohne Gesichtszüge oder kleinteilige Details – verleiht der Arbeit eine universelle Gültigkeit: Sie ist kein Porträt zweier Menschen, sondern ein Porträt der Liebe selbst.

Das Herz als negativer Raum

Das Zentrum der Komposition wird durch eine präzise geführte Aussparung definiert. Während die Körper die äußere Form bilden, entsteht durch ihre Umarmung im Zentrum das Symbol des Herzens als „Negativ-Raum“.

Diese künstlerische Entscheidung unterstreicht eine zentrale Metapher: Die Liebe ist nicht greifbar oder materiell, sondern sie entsteht im Zwischenraum, durch die bewusste Zuwendung und die Formung eines gemeinsamen Freiraums. Das Herz ist hierbei nicht aufgesetzt, sondern die logische und notwendige Konsequenz der Verbindung.

The Architecture of Affection

This work explores the physical and emotional intersection of two individuals. In a flowing, almost symbiotic line, two human silhouettes merge into a sculptural unity. The deliberate reduction to the essentials - without facial features or small details - gives the work a universal validity: it is not a portrait of two people, but a portrait of love itself.

The heart as negative space

The center of the composition is defined by a precisely executed recess. While the bodies form the outer shape, their embrace in the center creates the symbol of the heart as “negative space”.

This artistic decision underscores a central metaphor: love is not tangible or material, but arises in the space between, through conscious devotion and the formation of a shared free space. The heart is not superimposed here, but is the logical and necessary consequence of the connection.
