Description

Designed this fully printed leaf-switch arcade push button to replace vintage arcade buttons. This is a finely tuned remake that matches original arcade button threading, size and part dimensions of vintage arcade buttons and is compatible part-for-part with originals. Parts can be interchanged between printed and old buttons (use an original plunger with the new button case, etc.).

Two different versions are included:

  1. Plate 1: Tall leaf switch button, meant to be used with wood control panels.
  2. Plate 2: Short leaf switch button, to be used with metal control panels.

(There are some exceptions with Williams games that use short buttons on wood control panels).

Print Settings:

These arcade buttons are printed in multiple parts to provide the cleanest appearance with no supports. A couple drops of super-glue will connect the button cap to the plunger, and the button cover to the base/thread. See the image for assembly instructions.

Button Spring:

I recommend using a soft spring with 12mm inner diameter (see Maker Supply link, which can be cut to length). Alternately, a printable spring is included. To use this spring, place the spring in HOT water (being careful not to burn yourself) and then press it over the threaded portion of the button. Let it cool, and it will retain its spring shape.
