Â
I have been working on this re-design of my previous file to make it more flexible and editable for different machines, spindles and dust hose connections.Â
This version is for a 65mm Spindle body and a 2.5" Flexible Dust Hose connection.Â
There is a plate with the test fit files to make sure your spindle will fit as well as dust hose and magnets
To complete the dust boot you will need the following:
14 Â - Â 8x3 Round Magnets - https://a.co/d/0f1WkJK
6 Â - Â M3 x 5 x 4 Heatset Inserts - https://a.co/d/6DgM0ZG
2 Â - Â M3 x 12mm Bolt - https://a.co/d/5ATtXAgÂ
4 Â - Â M3 x 16mm Bolt - From the same kit as above
Â
You will put 5 of the magnets into the bottom of the Dust Boot Main Body. The magnets will fit snug into the holes but I recommend a drop of super glue to make sure they don't go anywhere. 5 more magnets will go into the Dust Boot Bottom, double check the polarity before gluing to ensure the top and bottom parts will attach. Â There are 4 more magnets, 2 get places on either side of the dock and then 2 get put in the side wall of the dust shoe, again double check the polarity the magnets should hold the Dust Boot Bottom into the dock.Â
2 of the Heatset inserts go into the Dust Boot Main Body and the other 4 are for the Hose Support that goes on your Nema 23Z motor to support the dust hose or tube.Â
The 2 M3x12mm bolts are used to secure the dust boot ring to the Spindle and the 4 M3x16mm bolts are used to secure the two parts of the hose support to the motor.Â
