A fun, "pop-out" Valentine's Day collection that anyone can print and build!
This collection features three adorable, chibi-style animals that print completely flat and "pop out" to assemble into charming 3D scenes. While they look great in multiple colors, you don't need an AMS to achieve this look. I designed each model so that every color sits on its own layer height—simply pause your print and swap your filament to get these vibrant results! They are perfect for mailing in envelopes, handing out at school, or keeping as cute desk companions.
The Collection Includes:
- 🐝 Bee Mine: A chubby bumblebee landing on a heart-shaped flower.
- 🐳 I Whaley Like You: A happy whale splashing near a ship with a heart-shaped sail.
- 🦖 You're Dino-mite: A smiling Brachiosaurus standing next to a heart-erupting volcano.
Why you'll love these:
- No AMS? No Problem: Since colors are separated by layer height, just add a pause at the specific layer in your slicer to swap filaments manually. The first color is 2.4mm thick, and all remaining colors are 0.4mm thick each.
- Low Filament / Quick Print: Each card uses minimal material and prints in about 90 minutes.
- No Tools Required: The pieces are designed to fit together and breakaway from the frame with repeated bending.
Assembly Tips:
- Carefully "pop" the pieces out of the frame.
- Follow the slot-and-tab logic—there's dots on the back of each piece to match with it's connection point.
- If a fit is too tight depending on your filament calibration, a tiny bit of sanding or a hobby knife will do the trick!
- The flower petals for the Bee are designed with tight tolerances to ensure they stay firmly attached to the flower head without slipping.
- When assembling the whale scene, the ship’s mast slides straight down into the hull, rotated 45-degree for a secure fit.
Boost MeSeeing these 'punny' valentines come to life is the best part of designing! If you enjoyed the build, a boost or a photo of your print would mean the world! I hope these all print smoothly for you!
