Steam AK420 Landing Gear Instructions
The Steam AK420 landing gear is designed for reliable strength and ease of installation. For best results, print the parts using strength‑oriented slicer settings, with 0.2 mm layer height and standard supports enabled.
Mounting the Landing Gear
- The holes in the landing‑gear mount are intentionally sized for 2.5 mm screws and do not require nuts.
- Before attaching the landing gear to the frames, it helps to thread the screws halfway into the holes. This pre‑threads the plastic and makes final installation much easier once the gear is positioned on the frame.
Securing the Gear Legs
- To attach the landing‑gear pipes to the landing‑gear legs, use Goop or another suitable adhesive that bonds well with printed plastics.
- Ensure the pipes are fully seated in the legs before the adhesive sets to maintain proper alignment and strength.
