High AMS Risers / Stand (for AMS 1)

Why have I designed yet another AMS riser?

Main reason was space, my AMS has to be on the left side of my printer, and because they are basically on the floor, I wanted to utilize the space beneath the AMS unit (for example for IKEA 365+ 10l dry box), and not to have AMS directly on the floor. 

 

Important Compatibility Note:

✅ Fits: Standard Bambu Lab AMS (versions shipped in Fall 2025).

❌ Does NOT Fit: AMS 2 or AMS HT.

❌ Printer: Not suitable for A1 Mini (parts are too large for the bed).

 

Features a bottom "protrusion" that interlocks the stacked parts, meaning it won't wobble while the AMS is retracting or feeding filament.

Make sure your PTFE tubes are long enough without weird angles. 

 

Assembly Options: 

Designed this with two assembly methods in mind.

Printed Pins (Recommended): I've included split pins that print flat on the bed. This orientation gives them much higher structural strength than vertical pins. I used these with a drop of glue and the stability is rock solid. WARNING: insertion of the pins is moderately difficult, the tolerances are low, by design, pins need to be pushed hard into the holes (you can use some smaller flat tool to assist with that) and be cautious not to break them - do not use PLA Matte.

Metal Hardware: If you prefer, the holes are sized to fit M5x55 - 65mm bolts and nuts.

 

Print Settings:

Material: The photos show PLA-CF and PETG-CF, which give it a nice finish, but standard PLA (not Matte) is plenty strong enough.

Walls/Perimeters: 2-3 walls recommended for stiffness.

Infill: 10% (I recommend Gyroid).

Supports: painted supports, easy to remove, use pliers for the inner parts.
