Disney Cruise Magnet – Donald Crashing Into Funnel

Every cruise on the Disney Fantasy we have always taken pictures of Donald crashing into the funnel on the pool deck after breaking through the tube on the Aqua Duck.  For us this has been an iconic feature on the Disney cruises and my son's favorite thing to check out each time, with that in mind I decided to create a magnet model for fish extenders, pixie dusting and door decorating.

 

Printing Instructions:

• Supports are needed for this print, I did place a support blocker for the magnet holes as I find supports in these holes mess the tolerances up on occasion.
• I have 2 build plates:
  • The first is a 100% scale model which results in a roughly 4"x4"x4" print and I put 6 magnet holes for 10mmx2mm magnets.  I tend to err on the side of too many magnets.
  • The second is a 75% scale model hich results in a roughly 3"x3"x3" print and I put 5 magnet holes for 10mmx2mm magnets.
• Filaments:
  • Tube/Donald – Bambu White PLA Basic
  • Stripes/Backside – Bambu Matte PLA Basic Maroon Red
  • Bent metal – Bambu PLA Light Grey
  • Donalds Feet - Bambu PLA Pumpkin Orance
• Magnets used are 10mm x 2mm magnets and press them into the holes using a bit of CA glue adhesive
