Description
I really loved the controller stand from Foxwood (https://makerworld.com/en/models/775269-controller-stand-core-swappable-deco-sleeves#profileId-711748) and others of similiar great design but all of them had the issue that the indentations for the controller were not deep enough, so that the controller would fall out of the stand if touched or if the stand itself was moved. So i decided to model the whole thing from scratch in Shapr3D by myself.
The new stand now has much deeper indentations to allow for a much better fit and stability. I added a groove in the middle of the base to save on filament. I also created a version of the base with the XBOX logo, so that it's always clear which controller goes into which dock.
I removed the original logos so that my model would not infringe copyright law as well as the makerworld exclusive model license.
Note: The XBOX controller base does NOT fit the XBOX elite controller.
Important: if you print the sleeves in PETG, you will most likely have to file down the notches on the controller base a little in order to make the sleeve fit.
A new LED Light option is now available for this controller and can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3065368-xbox-led-controller-stand#profileId-3450201
Available Sleeve designs (will be updated reguarly:)
Original
Arc
StarWars
Angled Slats
Note: Due to the specific shape of the XBOX controller, you need to apply light force and the controller will “snap” into the base with a nice snug fit. You can even turn it upside down and the controller won't fall out :)
Update:
The following single base models are also available:
I also designed a dual and triple stand if you have multiple controllers. This can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2309245-dual-controller-stand-for-xbox-and-ps5#profileId-2520916
