Description

I have remixed my previous design and made the star fully customizable.

The default settings will give you a star that measures 150 mm between the outermost pointy tips.

If you customize the parts,  then remember to use the same settings in each custom part.

A star size of 600 mm will generate a square beam length equal to 240 mm -  or even more when you also adjust the thickness parameters.

The star consists of 18 square beams, 8 triangle beams, a center assembly and 2 end assemblies.

It can be assembled without glue, the beams click into place in the center- and end assemblies and those are then locked together with a small twist.

Please observe the orientation of the beams. The square beam tabs are oriented vertically and the triangle beam tabs are oriented horisontally.

Everything can be disassembled and put in a box for storage until next christmas.

A light source can be placed inside. Just cut the tip of top beam in order to pull a wire through.

Remember to make a strain relief for the wire inside the center assembly.

I found LED bulbs and 10mm sockets on aliexpress.com. Here are links to the ones I purchased.

You can also use a string of LEDs like this one.
