Description
This model represents a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, one of the most iconic surface combatants of the modern United States Navy.
The Ticonderoga class was the first cruiser class equipped with the Aegis Combat System, designed to provide area air defense, surface warfare, and strike capabilities. With its distinctive superstructure and VLS layout, the class remains a milestone in modern naval warfare design.
The model is intended as a scale model and display piece.
For assembly check my detail pics for the correct positioning of the smaller parts.
Some parts are placed on the buildplate in higher quantity than needed in case something breaks during removing support.
Use 0.12–0.16 mm layer height on a 0.4 mm nozzle or smaller for best results.
(also for the big hull parts. Altering layer hight is ok untill the printer reaches the superstructure)
Support is required for most parts, except the label.
The socket and base plate may be printed at a higher layer height, for example 0.20 mm.
