Description

The design is, of course, heavily inspired by the beautiful leaning tower of Pisa. While the real building is a fantastic piece of great architectural design, our little ball tourist just wants to get down and out through the correct door. Maybe it is vertigo from going to the top of the tower?

To get him safely down into security, you need to hold the tower at an angle, while turning it around and leading the ball through the correct doors. When you have succeeded in the puzzle, you are ready to compete with your friends in completing the puzzle in the shortest amount of time.

While not in use, it also functions as a great, little architectural, art piece.

The design was very difficult to get to work as intended, but finally it turned out great. It also required a lot of prototypes to be printable. All the doors that do not correctly lead to the next level, leads to the inner bottom of the tower, through some small pathways.

You need a ball of 4.6mm to 4.8mm. It looks great at 0.16mm dynamic layer height. It is recommended to enable z-hop, as the columns are very small.

This can be a tricky print. You need to secure that the printer is well maintained, and the filament is completely dry. It cannot be printed with a fragile filament. There must be no stringing issues, as the ball must be able to pass through everywhere. If you encounter minor stringing, it is possible to clean it up by e.g. using a bent 3mm wire or a very small, stiff brush. It is also recommended to burn the plastic angel hairs, with a hair dryer or a lighter.

Have fun!
